Simplicity as they say is beauty but this beautiful cave known to locals of Prosperidad as “HILAYAN CAVE” can never be called simple. How nature crafted it into something this spectacular is a wonder but visiting the place will give you a chance to appreciate its gorgeousness. Getting inside the cave may be a little challenging but what you will find within will absolutely satisfy your hunger for natural beauty. Anywhere you graze your eyes will be satiated with extraordinary views.

Gazing up will allow you to find more impressively formed stalactites which are used by native swallows as their dwelling place. These birds hide their precious edible nests within these minerals and keep it protected there away from people wanting to consume them. There is a huge market for “Yanwu” or edible nests, specifically the nest of swallows which even costs $2,500 per kilogram. Luckily for these birds, they have a safe haven within the cave. The outstanding ways of nature is impossible to explain and how these stalagmites and stalactites were formed to produce these breathtaking views will never be answered however, lucky are the people of San Carlos to have such a God-given cave.
